Translational Research Workshop
The Institute for Translational Medicine conducts two weekly Translational Research Workshops whose goals are to:
- Provide a forum for trainees and established investigators to develop the translational nature of early or mid-stage research proposals or projects, by presentation and discussion of these proposals or projects to workshop attendees representing a broad range of expertise across the translational research spectrum
- Inform the University of Chicago and partner investigative community about such ongoing projects
- Foster multidisciplinary collaborations among attendees related to the topic discussed or other topics raised by attendees
In light of the very wide spectrum of translational research, workshops are focused more toward biological aspects or more toward health outcomes/social science aspects of translational research.
Biological Translational Research Workshops are held each Monday at 3:00 – 4:30 pm in L272, and are organized as “chalk talks”. Click here for a schedule of past and planned BTRW sessions. Would you like to present your work at a BTRW? Then email Blanca Camoretti-Mercado, PhD to schedule your workshop!
Outcomes Research Workshops are organized in conjunction with the Center on Health and the Social Sciences (CHeSS), and are held each Wednesday at 8:00 – 9:30 am in W229. Slide presentations are the norm for these sessions. Click here for a schedule of past and planned ORW sessions. Would you like to present your work at an ORW?
